Drum Roll...
...aaaaaand: Liver Disease! And I have it! It's not Hepatitis B or C or one of those fancy kind, nor is it cirrhosis. But it could easily lead to cirrhosis. That's the good news. The bad news is I have to not drink alcohol, at all. I go, "does that mean I shouldn't have a glass of wine with dinner every couple of weeks?" Gastroenterologist goes, "Well, some people have a glass of wine with dinner every single night, but I wouldn't recommend it." Good motherfucking times.
For those of you keeping score, this makes 2006 officially magical. Totes magical, you might say.
As the precocious child actor in Life With Mikey once said, "What am I, Job?"

thankfully, there is no evidence that mary jane harms the liver. i'll meet you ____'s tour bus/van/car/alley for a commiserating toke.
Had to make an account just to tell you that I (an FOH*) also have a non-hep, non-alcohol-related liver disease. It's a real joy for us thirtysomethings. Sorry you have joined the club. Don't get too bummed out, just get all the info you can.

Sorry to hear about the liver prob, but since life's a poker game, I'll see your liver, and raise you my diabetes (type 2) and throw in glaucoma!
I don't pray, but I still wish, (The difference is, you can't pray to get the Priest's hand off of your nut-sack) so I'll wish that your life and health greatly improves...
